Fall Classes 2020-2021 Dance Season
Fall 2020 dance registration is open now! Classes begin on Saturday, September 19 and conclude with a final recital in May. Programs are offered for children as young as 2 years old. This fall we have an exciting line up of programs for dancers of all levels and abilities. Early Years Dance (Ages 2+)
A specialized program that introduces children to the joy of dance through creative movement. Simple steps are included while exploring movement through imagery, rhythm, musical interpretation, and space. The students focus on exercises that develop coordination, musicality, posture, and fluidity.

Ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms. Strength, control, balance, line, and coordination are developed alongside musicality and artistry. The R.A.D. ballet syllabus is taught at Oxford School of Dance

Jazz is an upbeat, high energy dance style that will have you coming back for more. This class includes warm up exercises, center work, across the floor, and upbeat choreography.
Thurs 4:30-5:10pm or
Tap (Ages 5+)
Tap is a high energy class that lets your feet feel the beat. This class focuses on rhythm, coordination, and musicality. Tap is fun for everyone!
Musical Theatre (Ages 7+)
Musical Theatre is a Jazz based dance style that includes singing, dancing, and acting. It is often showcased in theatre productions or on Broadway.

Acro (Ages 5+)
Acro includes gymnastics, stunt work, and dance technique. It requires balance, power, and flexibility. If your child likes to bend and flip around your house, this is the dance style for them.

Hip Hop (Ages 8+)
Hip Hop, so named after the music, is a high energy dance form with an urban street style of movement. It is often featured in music videos.

Lyrical & Contemporary (Ages 10+, Gr. 3 Ballet +)
Contemporary/Lyrical dance is a fusion of Ballet and Jazz technique. It is known for its expressiveness as the dancer expresses the lyrics of the music. This dance form transcends emotion, connection, vulnerability, and power.
